WhatsApp for insurance brokers: the claim cannot live on a phone
How an insurance brokerage uses WhatsApp: new policies, renewals, and claims in a company inbox, not on the broker’s phone.
In an insurance brokerage the client does not open the private area. They show the parking dent on WhatsApp, ask if the premium went through, and want a home quote “for today”. If that lands on the broker’s phone, the claim is theirs, not the firm’s.
WhatsApp for insurance brokers is a company number, an inbox, and renewal templates. The landing is on insurance brokers.
Three threads that cannot mix
- New business. Lead from the website or an ad. Qualify the risk, book, quote.
- Renewal. Notice at 30 days and at 7. Utility, not a mass “hi, how are you?”.
- Claim / aftersales. Photos, claim number, “when is the assessor coming?”.
If all three live in the same personal chat, the broker handles the claim and lets the life-insurance lead die. The inbox tags and assigns.
Renewals people actually read
The premium email gets ignored. WhatsApp does not. A utility template: policy, expiry, a link or “reply and I will call you”. The “and I will quote you a home policy” comes after, with opt-in.
Automating the renewal call (slots) avoids the mad week at month-end.
Claims
The AI can ask for license plate, date and photos and open a record. It must not say “it is covered”. Internal notes: “client is angry, already spoke with the insurer”. That does not go in the visible thread.
Compliance
Policy phone numbers, opt-out, do not broadcast the claim to a sales group. GDPR hurts more here than at an academy.
Price
ManyContacts from €49/month (3 users). Meta bills each message. A badly handled claim costs more than €0.0166 of utility.
Next step
Ask management how many claims from last month live only on a phone. Then try the inbox or book a demo. Checklist on insurance brokers.
