Integrate WhatsApp with Pipedrive: the pipeline has to see the chat
How to connect WhatsApp and Pipedrive so each conversation updates the deal, without the salesperson copying messages by hand.
Pipedrive is the board. WhatsApp is where the customer says “I’ll think about it” or “send me the invoice”. Integrating WhatsApp with Pipedrive is making sure that “I’ll think about it” does not stay only on the salesperson’s phone.
Connector page: WhatsApp and Pipedrive.
What should show on the deal
- Timeline with messages (or at least a summary and a link to the thread).
- Phone in international format, always the same one.
- Stage that matches the chat: new, qualified, proposal, negotiation.
- Deal owner = agent assigned in the inbox.
If Pipedrive says “proposal sent” and nobody sent anything on WhatsApp, Monday’s pipeline meeting is theatre.
A flow that does not duplicate
- A WhatsApp comes in. You look up the number.
- If there is no person: you create one and open a deal in “new”.
- If there is an open deal: do not open another. Add activity.
- AI or a human qualifies. A tag moves it to “qualified”.
- On win or loss, one deal closes.
That is a WhatsApp CRM talking to Pipedrive, not a Zap that creates 12 deals from a “thanks”.
Campaigns and Pipedrive
Filter by stage or by tag (“asked for a demo, no reply”). The send is a template from WhatsApp. Pipedrive should not be the spam engine. Opt-in in GDPR.
Cost
Pipedrive + ManyContacts (from €49/month, 3 users) + Meta messages. Do not pay an “enterprise connector” if the inbox already writes to the Pipedrive API.
Next step
Open a deal “in negotiation” and find the last WhatsApp. If it is not there, connect Pipedrive. Sign up free or book a demo.
